Media World Pictures is one of Australia’s leading independent film and television production companies.
The company has successfully developed and produced hundreds of hours of award-winning content for both television and the big screen – with major credits in feature films, children’s series, animation and prime-time television drama.
Two complete seasons of The Strange Chores are available in Australia on ABC iview. Season 3 is deep into production, and on completion will bring the series to 78 x 11 minute episodes! Creators Daley Pearson and Charlie Aspinwall, together with Colin South as Executive Producers, have brought Scott Vanden Bosch in to the Showrunner role this season. Season 1 and 2 writers John McGeachin and Luke Tierney are joined on Season 3 by Alix Beane, Magda Wozniak, Nicolas Lin, Franky Stanton and Lauren Brown for 26 new episodes, due for completion in 2024.
Media World co-produces The Strange Chores with triple International Emmy Award winners, Ludo Studio. This project is financed with support from the ABC, Screen Australia, VicScreen and Screen Queensland. International distribution is with Boat Rocker Rights.
Media World is proud to be supplying production management and animation services for the fourth season of the Logie award-winning children’s animation series, Little J & Big Cuz. This fourth season of 10 x 12 min episodes brings the total number of episodes in the series to 50 x 12 min. The new episodes are slated for release on NITV and ABC in winter 2024, together with more episodes re-versioned in Indigenous Languages.
As COVID-19 hit early in 2020, 12field Animation required an immediate transition to offsite work across the two shows, The Strange Chores and Little J & Big Cuz. Read more about 12field’s remote production solution with Digistor at Television Asia Plus.
